This month, my Grandaddy Burch turned 89 years old! He had lived in Eastman, GA for his entire life until last June when he moved up to Houston, AL to live with my mom and step-dad. Each year all of my mom's brothers and sisters and their families, try to get together to celebrate his birthday. This year was exciting for us because everyone came to AL instead of us all driving to Eastman. We had a great Birthday Party at the lake and it was so much fun to see all the aunts, uncles and cousins. Some of us went on a boat ride (because who can go to the lake without going out on the boat?) and it was freezing! There were several people missing due to the distance and some sick kids so these pictures don't show all of the grand kids or great grand kids but just those who could make it. We sure did miss those who couldn't come!
Grandaddy had a great time and it is always wonderful to see him smile! He loves being around his family. He loves to fish so the fisherman cake was great for him. It even had edible rocks which the kids fought for! Mom and Dad did a wonderful job hosting and I do hope they have gotten some rest this past week.
Here are some photos from the party. Scroll your cursor over the pictures to read the captions. Happy Birthday Grandaddy!!!
