I LOVE SPRING!! This past week has been a wonderful break for our family. No Brownie meetings, soccer practices, Bible study meetings, Community Groups, babysitting, UAB work, etc... Not that those things are bad because I do love participating in them all but it has been nice to just "be" this week.
It all started last Friday... play date with sweet friends, overnight girls trip to the lake, preschool choir sang on Sunday, relaxing afternoon with the family, Monday began with a special St. Patrick's Day parade with silly friends, then off to my parents at the lake with the kids, spending time with my nephew that I don't get to do often enough, fishing, playing Guess Who and Apples to Apples, eating my mom's cooking, watching "Horton Hears a Who", my brother and his family come to visit at the lake, Easter Egg hunt, grilling burgers, homemade pound cake, working on a special project, listening to (and singing) Bebo Norman loudly..in the car alone..Starbuck's White Chocolate Mocha with a shot of hazelnut in hand, listening to David Platt teaching on God's Grace, visiting more with family, special conversations with (step)dad, home again, Aly's sweet friend sleeps over and Drew's best friend plays all day, finally a haircut, beautiful day to ride bikes and play at the park, Easter Egg hunt with friends from church at a farm with miniature cows and peacocks, another Egg hunt and cookout with more sweet friends and neighbors, then Sunday service and grilled halibut with more family.
I know that sounds like a lot to do in one week but "wow" did we enjoy it. And these are just the highlights. I guess I could just list this as what I'm thankful for today! Thank you, Jesus for such a great week with family and friends!!!
