Breast Cancer Walk
Many of you probably know that my Mother-in-law and my sister-in-law have both battled breast cancer over the last 5 years. Cindy was just diagnosed a year ago October. For me, it seems like so long ago. For her, not so much. It is amazing how far she has come in only a year. We decided to all go up to Nashville to walk in the Making Strides for Breast Cancer 5 mile walk. Ruth and Cindy were asked to share a short version of their stories on the media stage before the walk. One of our nieces, Lauren, joined them on stage. It was a very special time for both of them and for us to witness. Ruth just last week had an additional surgery related to her cancer battle. She postponed it just so she could walk with Cindy this year. God has worked miracles in their lives in many ways through this journey. Our team was call the "Miracle Walkers". I'm going to use this time to just remind all of you to be sure you are doing everything you need to do for early detection.

Wow! How difficult it must have been for all of you to go through this twice. I think it's wonderful that all of you did the walk together and I pray that the healing continues.
That is so wonderful. What a great picture. I did these with Kathy Leigh, and those are special memories. They look great!! What a blessing...
